Qurio is a bedtime learning app designed for parents to use together with their children. Every night a parent picks 2 or more categories — Animals, Space, Science, History, Mind-Benders, Nature, Sports and more — and reads fascinating age-appropriate facts aloud to their child before sleep. No screens are handed to kids. No quizzes. No pressure. Just a parent's voice in the dark and a child's imagination doing the rest.

Qurio is designed for parents and guardians of children ages 3-12. The app is downloaded, set up, and operated by adults. Children participate by listening and asking questions — they don't interact with the app directly.

Qurio works best for children ages 3-12. The app automatically calibrates the complexity of facts based on your child's age — simpler and more visual for younger children, more detailed and nuanced for older ones. You enter your child's birthdate during setup and Qurio handles the rest.

No — and this is one of the things we're most proud of. Qurio is designed so the parent holds the phone and reads aloud. The child listens, imagines, and asks questions. Your child's eyes are not on a screen during a Qurio session. It's closer to reading a book together than using an app.

Most kids apps put a screen in front of a child and ask them to interact with it. Qurio does the opposite — it puts a parent and child together in a shared curiosity moment right before sleep. There are no games, no rewards for screen interaction, no passive video watching. Qurio is a tool for parents, not a babysitter for kids.

Yes. Qurio is fully COPPA compliant and takes children's safety and privacy seriously. All facts are reviewed to be age-appropriate, accurate, and free from any content that could be scary, violent, or inappropriate for young children. Parents control all settings including which categories are shown. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we protect your child's information.

A typical Qurio session takes 5-10 minutes and works like this:

• You open the app and pick 2 or more categories for tonight
• A hero fact appears on screen — you read it aloud to your child
• Supporting facts beneath add depth and context
• You move through each category at your own pace
• When you're done the screen dims gently — a signal that wonder time is over and sleep time begins
• A recap screen shows your streak, QSparks earned, and a sleep tight thought

Each category includes 3-5 facts depending on your child's age. With 2 categories selected your child will hear between 6 and 10 facts per session. You can also set a time limit if you prefer to control the session length by minutes rather than category count.

Yes. In each child's profile you can toggle categories on or off. All categories are enabled by default. If your child doesn't enjoy a particular topic — or if you want to focus on specific subjects — you can turn categories off at any time in Settings.

Yes. You can configure each session to end after a set number of categories, after a specific number of minutes, or both — whichever limit is reached first. Default settings can be saved per child and overridden before any individual session.

QSparks is Qurio's engagement currency. Your family earns QSparks by completing nightly sessions, maintaining streaks, and hitting milestones. In a future update (Phase 2), QSparks will convert into real charitable impact — your child will choose a cause they care about and their QSparks will direct a portion of Qurio's subscription revenue to that cause. QSparks have no monetary value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

Yes. During any session you can tap the save icon on any fact to add it to your family's saved facts library. Saved facts are organized by category and can be revisited anytime. During the free trial up to 10 facts can be saved. Premium subscribers can save unlimited facts.

Yes. Qurio generates a branded share card for any fact — featuring the fact text, category, Qurio logo, and getquriokids.com. You can share it via text message, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, email and more using your phone's native share sheet. It's a great way to share tonight's wonder with grandparents, teachers, or friends.

Yes. Premium subscribers can add unlimited child profiles. Each child has their own name, avatar, category preferences, session settings, streak, saved facts, and QSparks balance. During the free trial one child profile is included.

Qurio offers a 14-day free trial for all new accounts. No credit card is required to start — you'll be asked to select a plan and provide payment information before the trial ends. You won't be charged until the trial period is complete.

During the free trial you get access to:

• All categories
• Unlimited nightly sessions
• One child profile
• Up to 10 saved facts
• Streak tracking and QSparks earning
• Session history
• Push notifications

To unlock unlimited saved facts and additional child profiles, upgrade to a paid plan.

At the end of your 14-day free trial your account will automatically convert to the subscription plan you selected at sign-up. If you'd like to cancel before being charged you must do so before the trial period ends through your device's app store subscription settings.

Qurio offers two subscription plans:

• Monthly: $5.99 per month
• Annual: $49.99 per year (save over 30% compared to monthly)

Both plans include full access to all features, unlimited child profiles, unlimited saved facts, all categories, and QSparks earning.

Qurio subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play. To cancel:

• iPhone/iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Qurio → Cancel Subscription
• Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Qurio → Cancel

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access until that date. Qurio does not process cancellations directly — all cancellations must be made through the applicable app store.

Because all billing is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, refund requests are subject to each platform's refund policies. You may request a refund within 7 days of your initial subscription charge by contacting the app store directly. If you need assistance navigating the refund process contact us at support@getquriokids.com.

Yes. Qurio subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder notification before your subscription renews. To avoid being charged for a renewal period cancel before the renewal date through your app store subscription settings.

Yes. Qurio fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). All accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians — children never create accounts or interact with the app's account features independently. We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the app and never sell or share children's data with third parties for commercial purposes. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

We collect only three pieces of information about your child:

• First name or nickname — used to personalize session greetings
• Date of birth — used to calculate age and calibrate fact complexity
• Avatar selection — an emoji chosen during setup

We do not collect your child's email address, phone number, location, photographs, or any other personal information.

Never. Qurio does not sell, rent, or share personal information about children with any third party for commercial purposes. Your child's data is used only to operate the Qurio app for your family. See our Privacy Policy for the complete list of third-party service providers we work with.

Yes — at any time. You can delete your child's profile from within the app under Settings, or delete your entire account and all associated data by going to Settings → Cancel Account or by emailing us at privacy@getquriokids.com. All child data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days of account deletion.

No. Qurio is completely ad-free. We do not display advertisements, use advertising networks, or share your data with advertisers. Qurio is supported entirely by subscription revenue — not advertising.

Yes. All payments are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. Qurio never sees, stores, or has access to your credit card number, bank account details, or billing address. We receive only a subscription status confirmation from the app store.

Qurio is available on iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets. It is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Qurio requires an internet connection to generate and deliver facts. We cache a set of facts locally so that recently loaded content may be available briefly without a connection, but full offline functionality is not currently supported.

Qurio updates are delivered through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Enable automatic app updates on your device to always have the latest version. We recommend keeping the app updated to access new categories, features, and improvements.

On the login screen tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. We'll send you a password reset link to your registered email address. If you don't receive it within a few minutes check your spam folder or contact us at support@getquriokids.com.
