These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Qurio, LLC ("Qurio," "we," "our," or "us"), a Florida limited liability company, governing your access to and use of the Qurio mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App").
By downloading the App, creating an account, or using any part of the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Qurio account. Qurio is designed for use by parents and legal guardians. All accounts must be created and managed by an adult. Children do not create accounts and do not agree to these Terms independently.
Qurio is a mobile application that delivers short, age-calibrated bedtime learning sessions for parents and children to share together. The core experience is a 5-10 minute nightly session in which a parent reads age-appropriate facts aloud to their child, organized by topic categories. The App includes features such as session history, saved facts, streak tracking, QSparks (Qurio's engagement currency), share cards, and push notifications.
Qurio is not a tutoring service, educational institution, or childcare provider. It is an entertainment and enrichment product designed to support family bonding and curiosity.
To use Qurio, you must create a parent account by providing your name, email address, and a password. You may then create child profiles within your account by providing a child's name (or nickname) and date of birth. You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@getquriokids.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
Your Qurio account is intended for use by a single family household. You may not share your account with unrelated third parties or use your account for commercial purposes.
Qurio offers a free trial period for new accounts. The length of the current free trial is displayed at the time of sign-up and within the App. During the free trial, you will have access to Qurio's full feature set at no charge.
At sign-up, you will be asked to select a subscription plan and provide payment information. By doing so, you authorize Qurio (through Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable) to automatically charge you at the applicable subscription rate when your free trial ends, unless you cancel before the trial period expires.
To avoid being charged, you must cancel before your free trial ends.
Qurio currently offers the following subscription plans:
Current pricing is displayed in the App and in the applicable app store listing. Qurio reserves the right to change subscription pricing at any time with reasonable advance notice.
All billing is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on the platform you use to download the App. Qurio does not directly collect or store your payment information. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store subscription settings:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Because billing is managed by Apple App Store and Google Play, refund requests are subject to each platform's refund policies. You may request a refund within 7 days of your initial subscription charge by contacting the applicable app store directly. Qurio does not directly issue refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable subscription fees, Qurio grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on a compatible mobile device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial, family use as expressly permitted by these Terms.
All rights in and to the App and its content not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Qurio, LLC. The App and all content within it — including but not limited to facts, text, graphics, user interface elements, audio, video, design, branding, and the selection and arrangement thereof — are owned by or licensed to Qurio, LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade dress, and other intellectual property laws of the United States and other jurisdictions.

Any use of the App or its content beyond the scope of this license is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
QSparks are Qurio's in-app engagement currency. You earn QSparks by completing nightly sessions and achieving streak milestones. QSparks have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash or any other consideration outside the App.
In a future phase of the App ("Phase 2"), QSparks will be used to direct a portion of Qurio's subscription revenue to child-chosen charitable causes. Qurio reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the QSparks program at any time with reasonable notice. Discontinuation of QSparks does not entitle you to any monetary compensation.
The App allows you to generate share cards featuring facts from your sessions. You may share these cards to social media platforms or messaging apps using your device's native share functionality.
When you share content from Qurio to third-party platforms, you are solely responsible for that content and your compliance with the terms and policies of those platforms. You agree not to share content in any manner that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or violates the rights of any third party.
By generating and sharing content using Qurio's share card features, you grant Qurio a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and reproduce that content solely as necessary to operate the sharing features within the App. We do not claim ownership of any content you create or share.
All facts, content, design elements, branding, and other materials generated by or displayed within the App are owned by or licensed to Qurio, LLC. The facts delivered within the App are generated using artificial intelligence and are provided for entertainment and enrichment purposes. While we take care to ensure facts are accurate and age-appropriate, we make no warranty as to their completeness or accuracy. You may share individual facts for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You agree not to use the App to:
By creating a Qurio account, you agree that we may send you marketing and promotional communications about Qurio. You may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at privacy@getquriokids.com. We will continue to send transactional communications necessary to operate your account regardless of opt-out status.
Qurio complies with COPPA. All accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians. Children do not create accounts or agree to these Terms independently. By creating a child profile, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and consent to our collection and use of your child's limited profile information as described in our Privacy Policy.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QURIO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Qurio does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Qurio does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content delivered through the App, including AI-generated facts.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QURIO, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
In no event shall Qurio's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the App exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Qurio in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty dollars ($50.00).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Qurio, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right; or (d) any content you share using the App's sharing features.
Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@getquriokids.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Qurio agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in Florida, or by telephone or videoconference at your election.
YOU AND QURIO AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@getquriokids.com within 30 days of first creating your Qurio account.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. For any disputes not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice before the changes take effect, via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Qurio reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or conduct harmful to other users, the App, or Qurio's reputation, with reasonable notice. You may terminate your account at any time through the App under Settings or by contacting support@getquriokids.com.
Entire Agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Qurio with respect to the App.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. Qurio may assign these Terms freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Force Majeure. Qurio shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control.
